In these imaginary landscapes I create phantastic enchanted gardens, paradisiacal places where plants, water, trees, flowers and sometimes animals emerge from seas of lush colors and brushstrokes. I use different different painting styles to give the impression of time and space. Sometimes beautiful brightly colored flowers and trees only vaguely appear behind layers of paint suggesting their mortality and time past. These paintings are partly internal landscapes that express moods and feelings, and partly a reflection of nature's impermanence and, as part of nature, our own.
