In this body of work I investigate my own body as seen by looking down at myself without a mirror. By magnifying that view I put the viewer directly and uncompromisingly in my shoes. Adornments like shoes, garter belts and jewelry are fetishizing femininity, hands reaching out suggest drama and story. Often the legs are mismatched, giving the impression of severed limbs, doll legs, that are floating in space suggesting again a dreamlike state.
